Default See the blood in my eyes_____________

Hi All,

The engine techs (let you guess which ones) fixed the gas/oil premix side cylinder injector with glue. Asked them, are you sure it will hold? No problem. I was checking time to time, OK. But when it came loose, I was for a new piston, piston rod and crankshaft.
Then the motor was still noisy. They replied they did not wanted to ask me to pay more but I would need 4 new pistons.
OK go reopen again. But then they left the chair you can see on the pic (already half removed). This is currently low tide, but at high tide, it easily goes under the boat.

For a week, every low tide, the transducer and hull hit it. Today (only) I saw it completely stuck with a lot of weight on the ducer. Had to unscrew all to remove. Now I see the damage.

Here you can easy see the mark of the chair.
On the hereunder, you can see the pipe of the chair went deep into the plastic (left of the picture):

So, except crying, what can I do. It seems that only the front part of the ducer is damaged, the flat one seems OK.
Do I leave it as is, do I slightly sand the stem of the ducer?
What can the problems be. Could this create turbulences that will screw my readings?

By the way, it is a Garmin FF120

Thanks for help.

Pierre

Just done sanding and waxing, but the deepest marks are left as I do not want to fragilize the stuff. Will know in some days when motor fixed

I think someone owes you a new transducer. Those gouges are sure to create turbulence and mess up the readings.

Hi b_arrington,

well, I am already happy they come to repair (I am paid to live in another world) so I can't claim anything back. Tried today, seems as before but could not go higher than 3,000 rpm for breaking in..... Tomorrow have to come again as one spark plug tread was broken .... that is how life goes on....
Thanks for the comment.
