Default Sirius Marine Weather / Raymarine service question

For those of you that use the Sirius Marine Weather Service, what service do you use and what is your experience with it? Mariner, Voyager or Professional? I am wondering if the Mariner would be sufficient which only gives you a 3 hour forecast for winds, wave direction, wave period and wave height? That jumps up to 24 hours with the Voyager package. We don't do a lot of overnight trips, but this would be nice if we do and can look a day in advance for a forecast.

Most of the trips would be in the Gulf of Mexico.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

I'm having sirius installed this week. I'm going with the basic package. You can get forcasted winds from noaa. The sirius is good for real time stuff like thunderstorms. You can keep an eye on them while they are still way off and out of range of the radar.

I just hooked up the Sirius radio on my Raymarine E120. When I called Sirius they told me that they've done away with the different levels of packages and that the new deal is you get the Professional Package for the Basic Package price, all good things!

I really like the service but haven't fished with it yet, just admired it in the slip.
