Default Airmar P79 for Lowrance

Where can I get hold of a P79 for Lowrance LCX-27C? (Blue connector)

It's listed at Airmar pages, but when searching I can't find it in any US webshop.

abbor,

You can order and get a P-79 for your unit from Lowrance. It's a simple install and works good for the intended purpose. Be sure you have a good place to mount it. Avoid the voids in the hull. I run one on a 110C and it's great.

Good luck,

CC

I ran one with an LCX-15CI (about 4 years old) with the gray connector. I recently purchased a 110C. Does anybody know if I need an adaptor to go from a gray connector to the new blue connector?

Call Airmar's distributor Gemeco Marine Accessories. They usually have items like this in stock. 843-210-7000.

I know the temp circuits are different between gray and blue connector Lowrance units.

Thanks for that phone number! I called and they said that since the P79 does not have a temperature sensor, that it should work. I have ordered a LowranceNET temperature sensor to allow me to see what the surface temp is.
