Default furuno 1943c nav aids

I recently noticed that I have no nav aid info even when scrolling and zooming. I have color but no info. Also the nav aids are supposed to flash and they don't. Does anybody know if that's in the setup? I called c-map to upgrade my chip and asked them about the problem and they said it's a known furuno problem. So I called furuno and felt they were blowing me off. The tech said he was going to be "bringing this up in his Wednesday meeting"... I also have a backup Garmin which always has all the info on the screen. Someone please tell me I'm a knucklehead and I'm just missing something!
Thanks in advance for all your help.

Which style C-Map card are you using?
The 1943C/NT used C-Map NT which doesn't have flashing bouys.

Yes it is Nt I think version 7, I really dont care about the flashing bouys, but I would like to have the marker data with out having to go into the menu option ,verus just highlighting the marker and seeing info . Is it possible to do this.
Thanks Hoejef
