Default Garmin 3210 transducers

What transducer should I get for maximun performance with gsd 22? I will buy through hull, but what wattage?

1kw, in-hull or thru hull would work.. I use transom mount and it works fine upto 800 feet of water... Anything over I loose reading..

Do you know how much current the GSD22 draws when powering a 1kW ducer?

I've got the GARMIN TM TRI F/ 160-240 BLUE 188-235-238 transom mount... so far so good, haven't taken it deep yet.
