Default auto pilot/under water lights

Has anyone put an auto pilot on there boat and do they believe it to be worth it? I am looking at the TR-1.

I am also considering the Ocean LED 1520 Blue under water lights? Has anyone had experience with vs without them? Do they bring fish to the boat or are they just for show?

You are looking at the best auto pilot, and yes it is worth it. You have a hard time justifing the expense, but one you use it you will never look back...except to see how straight you are going

1. The shortest distance between 2 points is a straight line. This means you'll save gas. Even with a chartplotter go to function, you are steering left, then right, essentially zig zagging to get to your destination. On long trips, it means several more miles of wasting gas w/o AP.

2. It makes travel safer. With AP, your full attention is given to way lies ahead of you. You are not distracted with whether or not you are on course. You can focus more on radar and visually what is ahead of you.

3. Trolling becomes a joy and not an all day chore for someone at the helm. And the angler can give precise instructions when fighting a fish, 20 degrees port, 30 degrees starboard, etc.

4. Program in a route and getting there is less stressfull.

If you plan to keep the boat a long time, I think it's worth the expense.

Autopilot and the lights were on top of my list if the boat was not for sale.. I hear OCEAN LED's are the best, choose color, blue light attracts bait, i know from experience.
