Default Garmin 4000 and 5000 series???

Has anyone seen any of the new systems in the stores yet. I have seen them at the shows, but not in any stores. I'm looking to upgrade my 3006c to the 4208. I was wondering if I could just plug the new system in and go??? It would be nice to just cut a bigger hole in the console and just lay it in!!!!!

You will not see them until the end of May. As far as unplug and re-plug of course Garmin couldn't make it that easy. THe 3XXX series uses an 18 pin plug and the 4XXX series will use a 19 pin plug. If I can be of any help just drop a line and I will do my best to help you out.

You may not have to cut a bigger hole. My Garmin rep tells me the 5212 will fit in the same hole as a 3210, so the smaller units may fit as well.

Thanks Bob

Do you think I will have to replace the antenna with the new one, or leave the old one up?

Sea Six,

That would be great, Sounds to good to be true. Thats not how my luck usually goes!!

Thanks, Mike

The antennas for the old and new series are the same.
