Default Realtime Severe Weather and XM Weather Displays ...Video

Here'sa 5minute video that shows XM Weather functionality during severe weather. This weather occurred this afternoon in Eastern NC. Hope this sheds some more light on this functionality.

Tom -

I had to laugh this past weekend...was doing the "relative cruise" with cousins + wives and two little tots on the boat in life jackets....15 miles away from home in a open CC with fwd seating...and the NOAA "MARINE WARNING" bulletin lights up the screen and stomach panic ensues...

scrolling over it was only a rip currents update....

Good video. I have the XM 478, outstanding unit. The main learning point for everyone here is if you were on the water, you would have had ample opportunity to move and not be in the middle of the intense part of the storm. Your ships radar does not always do a great job in tracking the intensity of a storm nor can you always see the boundries. The XM weather combined with ships radar gives me a feeling of comfort and confidence, particularly when offshore.

Nice video, BWP. Thanks for showing again how much vital - and timely - information is provided.

Mike, you need to give credit to the events surrounding your first experience with XM WX... tell 'em about that nasty day we danced between the cells, with my 376C on your boat...

Brian
