Default Raymarine C120 Owners would you buy again

I am looking for electronics for my new Edgewater 245CC. If you presently own the C120, sounder and Radar would you buy it again and have you had any problems with them. Before I commit to Raymarine looking for feedback from owners. Thanks George

I like the radar and the fish finder. The Chartplotter only holds 1000 numbers and I have WAY more than that. I has no good way to manage and transfer the numbers back and forth to the computer and plotter. I ended up having to buy a Garmin and mount next to it to hold my numbers, I just use the raymarine for MOB and working around new numbers. Other than that it has been great. Ooh, the screen is spotted to the point in one year that its hard to read, but I think most units have this problem these days.

Well, I sure do like mine. I have the DSM module, 4KW Radar, GPS and a KVH 1000 Heading sensor. I suppose just having a second disc handy would fix the problem with his waypoints...BUT, I have never had a problem with my screen. I have no idea what he's talking about there?? ;?

Now as far as transferring his waypoints, Raymarine has software for that too.....Again, it may not be the easiest, but do-able.

I bought one of the first C120's and when I sold that boat and bought another, I bought an E120. l love them and find them extremely easy and intuitive to use. I think the plotter and fish finder are excllent, don't have the radar so can't comment. The answer to your question is yes, I would and did buy it again.

Had a C120 with radar, fishfinder, chartplotter. I had no problems with it - very easy to use and update. Highly recommend Raymarine. Will be installing C80 with radar, fishfinder, chartplotter and chart overlay on new boat this year because due to size limitations on center console.

Raymarine's latest software update allows for sirius weather to be used with the "C" series plotters as well.

DITTO! I have a C-120 and a C-70. 4kw open array radar, DSM module, auto pilot, etc. and don't know what I'd do without them. I've owned Furuno, Garmin and Lowrance, but they just did not suit my needs. Waypoints are easy to transfer from the C-120 to the computer or vice versa using FREE Raymarine software. And now, there is an update available that will allow C-120 users to add overlays of marine weather maps and sea surface temps. I love it.

I have an E-120 and can't imagine having anything else. It is fantastic. Sirius weather and Platinum cards are awesome. Regarding the screen, I recommend screen protectors. It's a waste to spend that much money on a screen and not protect them. They are available occasionally on Ebay and a lot cheaper. Don't leave home without it!

I have the C120 and a C80, 4kw Radar, DSM300, M260 transducer and definitely would purchase the same product again. I have had zero problems with any of the units. I find it easy to use and easy to download/upload waypoints (again FREE Raymarine software) or to upload new software versions as they are released. With the two units I have up to 2000 waypoints, more than I could ever use. Looking forward to receiving the Sirius Weather/Radio. IMHO Raymarine is top of the line and would highly recommend them to anyone. I installed all my electronics (not a tech kind of guy) and found Raymarine technicians friendly and eager to help with all my questions. For my purposes I did not need the extra's provided by the E series which was a savings spent on the Commander and Chief.

Hey John, that's the exact same config I'm putting on my boat. How do you like the radar?

I bought the C 120 system pack (Display GPS ant and DSM sounder) and am installing it now. Also bought the 2KW dome. If you are going to go Ray then BOE has killer prices on this stuff till the end of March.

Boonedocks Mobile: I'm very happy with the new style 2KW Ray Radar. It does what I want it to. Granted I don't have to compare to, but for the money, it's a very good unit.
