Default Standard horizon CP1000c condensation problem

I m the equipment officer of a small dive club in Dublin Ireland. we bought a Standard Horizon CP1000C.the unit has been a problem very soon after being installed. a lot of condensation appears behind the screen and stays there. viewing the display becomes difficult to impossible. the unit was sent back to the dealer who sent it back to Standard horizon. re-launched the boat last week-end after refitting the unit SAME PROBLEM.!!!! At £1,600.00 for the unit we expected better!!
contacted dealer who tells me this is common on large displays. we had a lowrance unit on the previous boat never had a problem with it.
can anyone tell me it similar problems have occurred on a Standard Horizon CP1000C to others or is it that our unit is faulty and should be replaced?
in advance thank you

My CP175 has never had that problem. Wouldn't be too happy if it did.

This was known to happen in the CP 150, 160. 170 , and early 1000 models. The couple of times any of my customers had issues with it, SH was drilling holes in the cases for better ventilation. Sound like you may have one of the early ones that had the problem

My 1000c has never had a condensation problem. I suggest you deal with S.H. direct. We have discussed the CP1000c many times, and they are prompt and reliable. E-mail Paul.....pwilson@c-map.com.

I have had one for 1 season with no problems...I would not accept the "they all do that" attitude from the dealer. I would deal with SH direct, I have found their customer service to be very good in the past.

I had a similar problem with my CP1000 with a small condensation spot which you could barely see from certain angles. Sent it to SH and they had it back to me in 1.5 weeks.

Never had a problem with the cp170c or the cp155 or the 175c I have now.
