Default Thru hull or shoot thru transducer on a Glacier Bay

Hey guys,
We run a 2004 Glacier Bay Canyon Runner and are upgrading to a chartplotter. We have decide on the Raymarine C120 or the Garmin 4000 series. Unfortunately the Garmins aren't out yet. My question is does anyone run the thru hull or shoot thru transducers on their GB? If so how well do they work? We would like to leave the hull alone for ovious reasons but don't mind installing a thru hull if that is going to work best. We like the C120 sonar a lot but the "pictures" of the graffics on the Garmin(hard to tell without a unit to look at). Thanks for any input.

Assumeing you want a 1000Kw transducer like the B or M 260, the thru hull is best (IMHO). Lots discussed on the GB owners site you may want to join/check it out.
