Default ducer question

I can't imagine ever having my bay boat in water deeper than 200 feet. Do I have any reason to buy a xducer other than the 200khz one?

Also, I am placing an order for the Lowrance lcx-28c HD and have seen someone else asking if they should get the Lowrance transducer or get an Airmar instead. Any opinions?

Thanks!

Get the Airmar. I have had nothing but problems with LEI ducers. The display heads and software are great, but the ducers have been problems.

I'd go with a dual frequency transducer regardless of depth. Set to 50khz, it will give you a broader view of what's underneath you and return stronger echoes for a more detailed look.
