Default GPS Antenna and Radome Installation?

I am installing a new Raymarine Radome and GPS antenna on my T-Top. How important is it to keep the GPS antenna out of the Radar beam? How much is the performance of the GPS affected? I have limited height options due to a bridge that I need to get under. I already need to drop two riggers and two Vhf antennas every time pass under the bridge. One less antenna to drop will be helpfull.

it's very important to keep the GPS out of the radar beam- not so much for preformance, as for service life. the RS125 is not going to last long getting pumped full of radar beam. it can be mounted down flat to a hardtop, to keep it under the beam, if raising it up on a mount would be a hassle.keep it at least a few feet from the VHF ant, as well.
