Default Transferring waypoints from Lowrance to Raymarine

Does anyone know how I can electronically move my waypoints from my Lowrance to my Raymarine E-80.

Thanks.

Is your Lowrance a chartplotter? If so, what kind of chart card does it take (flash card, etc.) Raymarine offers a free software download of RayTech that may help you import and export waypoints if you have a card reader. It works well for me, but I am importing and exporting from Raymarine to Raymarine using Navionics chart cards.

I have the LCX-15MT with a Navionics Classic MMC/SD card. There is some sort of Chart program that came with the Lowrance.... I think it was called Map Create. It never seemed that user friendly to me so I didn't use it much.

I do have the interface card reader, but I'm unsure if the files can be converted into Excel or into something the Raymarine system can understand?

I just purchased the E-80 from Jim at BOE.

There are all kinds of software around that are made for working with waypoints. What will most likely be easiest is downloading your waypoints from the Lowrance to a PC and then uploading the waypoints from the PC to your Raymarine. If you have removable memory cards on both units you should be all set as far as hardware needed - with the possible exception of a multi-format card reader for your PC - those are available pretty much everywhere computer products are sold and they are VERY cheap (Like $25-$35).

Take a look at the various waypoint management SW that's listed below. Though this site is for another purpose, they live and die by being able to transfer waypoints to/from pc's and GPS units of all kinds. You should be able to find something that will work for your purpose on both units.
