Default Garmin 2006c with GSD FF module

Hi - I'm thinking about getting the GSD fishfinder module with my Garmin 2006c. Plan is to get rid of the Garmin 240 blue that I have - is this a good move? Has anyone used the GSD's with the 2006c? What are you using for a transducer? Any tips here would be appreciated as I am a little hesitant to do it, but think I can do better than the 240 blue - hoping to save some space by integrating with the 2006c and I am hoping that this is also a quality solution.

Thanks,
JJ

I have a 185 Scout. On the bow trolling motor I have the Garmin 240. On top of the console I have a 2006 and 2006c. Both connected to the GPS antenna and GSD. This allows both to show any combination of GPS and sonar. Screen of 2006c was repaired 3 times for the coating coming off. Don't want to pay $250 to get it repaired out of warranty. 2006 is connected to a Icon DSC VHF and a Raymarine ST 500 auto pilot. 2006 is easier to see in bright sun com paired to the 2006c. Only problem with any unit was the anti-glair coating coming off. Hope this helps

Hope this helps some

I just did a search and found more information...info that was helpful, so don't waste your time reposting if you've already mentioned something about this in the past.

Thanks,
JJ
