Default Garmin 3010 vs 3210

3210 comes with pre-loaded cartography?
Is the 3010 compatible with the g2 cards?

Yes, I am running one with 2 g2 chips. Better off buying 3210, those chips were 250 a pop..

Correct; get the newest s/w and the g2 will work fine. The g2 chip does add aerial photos that the preloaded g2 (3210) does not have, if that's important to you.

I have a 3010 with g2 and the extra photo chip -might be useful for a trawler boat that was going diff places but not for me - will sell mine...never use it....

Glen,

Do you have the bathyometric chart? I just got a 3210 and can't decide whether to make the plunge or wait a year or so and upgrade to the 4000 series. But if that chart isn't worth it, I might just wait. Opinions?
