Default sirius weather for raymarine

Has anyone had any experience with the new sirius satilite weather for the raymarine e series. I am curious if the water temps and wave hieghts work on a color scale or actual numbers.

I was aboard a boat with this recently. The actual bouys could be pulled up for digital temps and wave heights--colors on the general screen. It was a really neat feature, but I personally would probably not use it. The owner was very happy with the doplar radar, and weather maps.

I was told you could recieve actual sea surface temp. numbers, as well as wave hieghts off the satilite. It didnt make much sense to me. the storm tracker feature looks great.

The seas surface temps are shown via color scale , but if you hit the "OK" button , it will display the temp in numeric form wherever your cursor/vessel is positioned. Wave heights can be taken from live buoy data , but I dont know if you can get wave heights at cursor/vessel position.

thanks for the info. My buddy saw a demo, and this is a must have. I was not sure, then he said, if the weather warning saves your a$% once, its worth it. I have the platinum chip, and did not see the value in it. So I am not sure about the weather option.
