Default Recommendation for best transom mount transducer for deep dropping

Since my B 175m is backordered til late May I was just checking to see if they make a decent transom mount for deep dropping in 300 to 1000 ft of water. Mainly tiles and groupers. Thanks

Airmar makes a TM265-LH ,TM275LHW, TM265-LM and a TM185M.

What system are you going to use this on?

AIRMAR also makes a TM265LH (non-W version . Through some magic I don't understand can be boosted to 2 or 3KW. That's what I have - not the booster.

Betting a dime to a donut he mistakenly added the W in the TM265LHW

TM185M is the transom mount equivalent to B175M. TM185M or TM265LM are my recommendations.

Then with a 1042xsv you cannot use the any dual band ducers such as the TM275 or TM265.
Adding a GSD 25....will accomplish that.

So......TM185M is an option for single band units..such as the 1042xsv.

If you want to use a dual channel like the 265/275 you would have to get a GSD25.

Only the 86xx xsv can support the dual channel without a black box.

this is a good fix. I can vouch for the x260 transducer line for deep dropping out to 1000 feet.

However, I am using Simrad S5100 not Garmin.

Another voter for the TM260. I had a tm260 on my last boat but with a Furuno fcv582l and it read bottom in 2000ft+. Worked just fine for the 300 to 1000ft for tiles and grouper. Would read bottom at planing speed but better when off plane looking for bottom.

If I decide to go with the T260 or 185 will that mirror on dual 1042xsv units?
