Default Simrad shipmate cp32 MKII

Anyone have any expierence with these? I purchased a boat last year that the original owner had it installed , and he planned on using it as the main gps but got frustrated with it. As a result he used it solely as a backup (meaning never.) I have ran into the same problem myself with it. I intended to use it more but the frustration level associated with it were not worth it to me either (I do not liek the navigation screen.)

My real question in this rambling is does anyone have a clue to what it would worth? I'm considering selling it and replacing it with a gps/ fishfinder combo, to be used mostly as a backup.

I have the same unit on a boat I purchased as well. I takes a while to get used to it. A couple of things I do not like is you do not have a heading up option which most have now and it is tough to see in bright sunlight. I ordered a video to learn the basics but you need to spend a lot of time to get to know the chartplotter. You would probably be better of with a new chartplotter.
