Default Lowrance LCX 26 screen view

Hey Guys:

I recently installed a Lowrance LCX 26c HD. On my screen all I see are globs instead of the archs that are supposed to be there. They do not look like the half archs that would mean the transducer is tilted wrong, they are just globs of color. What settings should I play with to fine tune it? I appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

Dave

Dave-

Turn the auto sensitivity off....then adjust the sensitivity down to somewhere between 85 and 90. This should cure it.

Also make sure you have the most recent firmware....I think Lowrance is up to 1.7 now.

Get on Lowrance.com and download the latest software update: 1.7. Don't expect to see fish arches all of the time, as the fish doesn't always swim through the whole cone. Fish can show up as lines, some bent, some at angles. The globs you are viewing may very well be bait. Like mentioned before adjust the sensitivity yourself. MM
