Default Rammount for Furuno Navnetvx2

Hello,

Has any one used a ram mount for mounting ther 17 series navnet vx2 display? This is the one with the 7' display. The reason I ask is there isn't a flat surface big enough to mount our display where it isn't blocking the tachometer.

Thanks!
GRIFF

Default RE: Rammount for Furuno Navnetvx2

I just ram mounted a Garmin 2210C and a Furuno 585. For these larger units, Ram makes a larger version. The ball is 2 1/4", as opposed to 1 1/2" for their normal mount. This larger version is a "D" size ball, the smaller one is "C" size. I bought one with a 3 1/2" arm from Cabelas, the other one has a 6 or 7" arm, I had to go to the web to find that one, found it at e-mounts.com or something like that.

Several friends have mounted their large Garmin and Lowrance 111's with the D size ball and claim it's the only way to go for these big units. The larger size helps prevent the mount from slipping when the boat is pounding big waves.
