Default Amp and Sub Woofer Placement

I want to make sure I don't mess up by compass and flux gate for my AP. I am assuming that a 10" sub with a big magnet will effect my compass (how far away should it be?) Does a Clarion 480 watt amp present a magnetic issue or can it be mounted closer?

Thanks

Todd

Best thing would be to make a temporary hookup and place it near the compass. You'll be able to tell real quick.

You want to keep it at least 2-3 feet away from any navigational device.

Make sure your glass in that location is super thick or else it is gonna sound like crap. I originally mounted mine on the side of my CC with almost an inch or so of glass as I remember it and it sounded like garbage. My new tube sounds much better.
