Default Garmin and Furuno

Plan to rig new electronics, with the Garmin 4212 and want opinions on what to use for a bottom machine. The Garmin GSD 22 or the Furuno FCV 585? I will have an older Garmin as a backup which could be used as a separate display for the bottom machine if needed, so I understand the trade off of 2 independent screens. I am looking for data on resolution, actually identifying fish, etc with digital technology. 95% of the use would be in the Gulfstream in 100-1,500 feet of water off the NC coast. I currently run a Furuno 582L, and have never used one of the new digital machines from either mfg. If someone has any other mfg that would be a good choice, I am open to evaluating the best solution.
