Default am/fm cd player

I am getting ready to install a am/fm/cd player in my GW. I plan on installing the unit in my hard top box next to my vhf. 1st question is will that interfear with my vhf? 2nd question is I have to cut holes to install the speakers. Is there a prefered spot for this? 3rd will the antenna interfere with my Radar? I have two other antennas and the do not but I just want to make sure adding another won't?

It should not interfere with the vhf.
Preferred spots include places where you can run the wires to.
Just dont set the antenna right next to the radome, and it should be fine.

Where is the best spot to mount the speakers. Sinse I have to cut holes it's going to be a permanent place. Any suggestions would be great.

AS far apart as possible. So you are in the middle, then you get Stereo Sound.

Wait till you here my new Hi-Fi stereo!!

What's her deadrise? A friend is shopping for a 28-29' CC. Like most girls, she looks pretty sexy from the bottom up.

I went with a pair of 200W speakers in the fish box pointed back at the center console. This exposed speaker on the insode is sealed with tupperware and 4200.

Second pair is 80W in the rear coaming just forward of the handles for each of the jump seats - secured in place with 4200.

For running the speaker line forward to a channel in my bow I picked up hangers for wire ties at Home Depot that I glued in place behind the coaming with Marine Goop.

badaboom ... I have a CC that has two sets of speakers. I did not want to mount the speakers overhead in the electronics box for two reasons. First I did not want the sound 'in my face' (you might) with little seperation of the speakers and secondly in consideration of the neighbors at the dock. I have the first pair under the gunwale, adjacent to the CC and the second pair under the gunwale back by the motors. It fills up the cockpit with a lot of sound that seems to surround you rather than blasting out. The radio itself is in the CC on a panel as seen below. I have no amplifier other than in the radio a Jensen MDC 9645W AM/FM/CD/TAPE. All the speakers are Poly Planer. If I did it again, I would have sat radio.

It's a variable dead rise with 21 at the transom. Scout's "Air-Assist" hull does the rest! It's by far the best 26'-28' boat around for the money. LEt me know if you have any questions.
