Cabelas, and you needed a handheld or porable GPS to help you navigate and fish the waters of SE Louisiana what would you buy? By southeast LA I mean Lake Pontchartrain, Rigolets, Lake Borgne, Mississippi Sound Chandellier bla, bla, bla....

BTW, pretend you are totally clueless about GPS and you really dont feel like getting something you cant use

If it were me.

I would buy a unit very similar to this one:
http://www.thehulltruth.com/forums/t...ode=1#M1363416

used for the $150 he sold it for. I would then buy a blue charts CD and put the area you need in the system so that you can have a detailed base map of your fishing area. That will leave you with $150 left over on the gift card. Next time a buddy buys something from cabelas let him pay you and use the gift card on the purchase there by paying for the GPS. Reason I sugget this is because did something very similar.
Probably more complicated than you wanted to get but you did ask if "you" had the card.

Here's one with a 3-inch color screen and pretty good customer reviews:

Drawbacks - it has a minimally acceptable basemap, but you are going to want to get some mapping charts (Navionics, hotmaps, etc.) You'll probably aslo find it handy to have along in the car...

I was considering the Ifinder H20 or H20 color but Im not sure if a color screen is worth $150 more.
