Default CQ THT Hams

Any interest in an on-the-air rendezvous? Maybe on 40? I'm flexible.

How many are we? Where are we?

I doubt there would be enough interest for a regular net, but a one-time get-together might be fun.

PM or mycall@arrl.net

I'm in the process of getting my Technicians ticket, but I'd be interested when I get my Extra.

I am interested. If propagation and antennas are problems check out the Virtual Ionosphere on:

http://qsonet.com

I have a bunch of ham buddies that get together on this mode without ever having to worry about QRM or propagation. It ain't real radio but it sure feels like it.

It would be fun, but first I've got to upgrade to general. I don't think 2m or 70cm is going to get me far enough.

davepen, good luck on your exam. It's always good to hear about new people heading to the hobby.

This is like a foreign language to me. How about a translation, sounds like fun.

No 75/80 here. 40, 20, 17, 15, 12 and 10, all on the tower. Yes, 75 would probably be best. I'll try to get an inverted V up in the trees when the wx breaks and I can get my friend over with his wrist rocket.

Nice of you to bring this up. Maybe on qsonet. I don't have an operational station at this time.

Pick a time and a freq...I work a few people up north on 40 meters a couple mornings a week....running a horizontal 80 meter loop or a vertical....we had a good inversion on 2 meters last nite...worked the whole state of Fl on FM....

Looks like qsonet is not Mac friendly (and isn't free, either), so that lets me out.

I'll look at the propagation early in the morning and post something here as to freq and time ...maybe somewhere between 8 and 9 am for a QSO?

will look for something open in the general portion of the band.

look for the W6EL propagation website..nice program and its free.
