Default Advice on mounting this charger....

Can I mount this charger...

In this location without fear of it getting too hot??

It's away from the elements so this is my first choice. Mounting in the cabin is possible but the wire runs will be long, is that OK?
Does anyone advise against mounting in this location?? Thanks in advance.

Be careful, mount it vertically if you can. Keep it away from moisture.

Make sure to leave a drip loop on the cables so if it does get some moisture, the cables won't bring the water directly in to the unit.

Default Sorry this took this long

I mounted my guest 2620A in the helm console storage area. No problems with moisture. Guest really makes great chargers.

I just mounted an identical unit yesterday on the inside wall of my center console. I had to extend one lead to reach to the rear of the boat. The hole (vent) you show in your pic should have some covering to prevent H2o from entering the area of the charger. If that's a closed compartment, you may want to put a second vent to allow for air entry.
