Default Best time to buy Garmin

I need to replace my electronics soon. Is there a certain time of year where they offer incentives etc..?

With Garmin one option to buy is when they upgrade units..as then the previous units will go off of MRP ( Manufactures Retail Pricing) and there will be much better pricing.

For example...with the Garmin 1242xsv Touch..it used to be at a MRP of $2799.....then it sold for about $2295 as it is off the MRP list...when the newer 1242xsv Plus came out.
and now that 1242xsv Plus is on discount...

Or the ECHO map 94sv Plus with GT51 used to be at a MRP of $1099...then they sold around $800. when the newer 94sv ULTRA came out.

And if there are rebates..even better.

Any plans for that to happen with the 8612? It's now a 2 year old model.

New models are normally introduced by Garmin at the beginning of the year...

Talk to ya in Jan! I see your 1242 touch deal is over. Was considering that one. But would prefer the ability to hook up a TM51, my existing B75M and a livescope to the 8612.

That is the advantage of a 8600xsv unit....multiple transducer options.

Make friends with someone who works for Garmin and enjoy their 45% employee discount. Garmin actually encourages employees to purchase for friends/family, at least that's what my buddy told me.
