Default Ideas for using Aux Input?

New boat has a basic USB port and Aux input jack that appears to be the size used for standard mini-plug.
I understand the USB port will power and charge cell phones, lights, etc. What devices/gadgets would use the Aux input mini plug jack?

The boat radio has Bluetooth so I stream Pandora from my phone to the radio. 👍

I would first check the back of those ports and see how they're connected and to what. I added 2 ports to my boat, and one is strictly a charger the other is stereo..... so I would say it all depends on what and how it's wired...

I've got an old 80 gig Zune that I have my entire music collection that I keep on the boat that I keep in a dock I have for it plugged into the aux input. Occasionally I'll plug my phone in and listen to a playlist on Spotify but like to keep the phone stowed away safely. Also have an old Ipod Touch as I don't throw anything away it seems but it doesn't have nearly the amount of storage space.
