I just installed a new Icom 506 VHF. I have a question that does not appear to be answered by the manual. I always run the VHF in scan mode. Not priority scan mode but just regular scan mode. I have added all channels as favorites so it scans all channels. However, when scanning several of the channels, the number 10 appears quickly above the channel being scanned. What does this mean? Also, I am not in a dual or tri scan mode. Just scanning all the channels. Can’t find the answer in the manual. Any ideas?

Is it the channel name?

some channels now have a 10 in front. Ie 22a is now 1022.

maybe that is what you seeing. But if you stoped at that channel you’d probably also see it.

Not in the channel name. It is above the channel in a smaller font.
