Default Is a triple CL 2nd station control compatible with a twin CL+ main control?

I'm outfitting a 2nd station for twin F350's. I have a twin Command Link Plus main control. A friend has a triple Command Link (not the Plus) 2nd Station control that he might part with. So the question is: can a triple Command Link 2nd station control be used in conjunction with a twin Command Link Plus main station control?

I don't care about the gauges or ignition switches. All I'm looking for is the ability to engage the motors from above.

He has offered to let me play around with it, but before I do........am I wasting my time?

Thanks.........

I have a triple one laying around and I've talked to a couple people and I've been told it will not work on twins.
