When installing a flush mount thru hull 1kw transducer does it matter if you drill the big whole from the outside or the inside of the hull ? As I have seen few videos done both ways

but just want to know which is best or safer ?

I don't think it matters, but when I did mine, I drilled a pilot hole from inside to make sure i was clear of everything. Then drilled up threw with hole saw so I would not have a mess inside hull.

So u drill the big whole from inside ?

but I do see more people drill the big whole from the outside. Not sure if u had to or not
that’s why wanted to be sure it don’t matter

I drill pilot from inside.and then the rest of the hole from the outside.

Just a personal choice.

I guess I am in the minority - I drill mine about 1/2 way from the top and then finish the other half from the bottom so that both the inside and outside are nice and smooth.

Drill your pilot then score inside and outside by running hole saw in reverse. Then either inside or out

I would personally prefer outside in, less dust to clean up
