Look at split ring pipe hangers at Lowes and HD. Worked for me to mount box speakers on my T top pipes. I spray painted them black and mounted over some rubber strips. They've held perfectly for a year of offshore use.

IMO a large part of the beauty being out on the waters is getting away from all the noise & traffic pollution, and if a motor or other mechanical device was to start making an abnormal noise I certainly would want to hear it ASAP.

So splash. Is that a NO. Youve never done it and have no advice on how to help me?

All my speakers are waterproof & flush mounted. They sound fine and IMO look a lot better then added on ones so unless that's a consideration I wish you the best.
