Default Transducer and Cable questions

So I bought the Totalscan (Lowrance) yesterday...My unit is an Elite 9ti...I Had issues with the original transducer basic functions, turns out the previous boat owner had transducer installed that wasn't compatible for TI, just the TI2...he had a Ai 3N1 on there....Here's my question, I bought the Yamaha interface cable as well so I could get my outboard fuctions on the screen..Do I also need to buy that NMEA Network Starter Kit, Model 124-69 as well...

The Ti can use NMEA 2000 to share any engine data...so yes, you may need to install a NMEA 2000 kit.

It depends on which cable you bought. One goes right from the Command Link network to your TI, one goes from the engine to a nmea2000 network, and one goes from your Command Link Hub to a N2K network. We have an article about it on our site. Most ways require a n2k network though.
