Default Garmin Reator 40 Install.

I'm getting ready to install a new system in my 30' CC. After looking at diagrams it looks like there is no problem with pump placement pretty much anywhere it's easiest. I have think room under the console for the pump, ECU, and CCU and it would place the CCU pretty much on centerline and just under deck height, which seems optimal. The hydraulic lines also would be much easier to route and connect than if I placed it in the stern area in the bilge and would be better protected from water intrusion. Is there any problem with having the pump 12' or so from the cylinder?

As a general rule 12 feet isn't all that far for a pump to push fluid. I really like to keep the pump as close to power as possible to keep line loss down to a minimum, they are hungry little things.
