Default Garmin AutoPilot coupling to navigation 7612xsv.

So need a little help with this. I was driving my boat and went to go auto guidance to a destination on my 7612xsv chart plotter and usually it prompts you if you would like to engage the auto pilot to navigate to the destination with the auto pilot. I don’t get that prompt now. I can control the autoPilot (only I’m heading mode) through my charter plotter so i know the nema2000 isn't an issue. Is it because of a software update issue or a hardware issue with the GHP Reactor corepack (2016 model)?
