got an icom m-120 vhf to put on the boat as a 2nd vhf (already have a new 502). i'm looking for -

1) an owner's manual
2) power cord

on the owner's manual, if anyone has one that would be willing to copy and send to me, i'd be happy to pay you for it.

for the power cord, it looks like there is a jack in the back of the vhf that accepts some type of 6 pin female plug (from what i understand, 2 of the wires are power, 2 are for the mic and the other 2 are for an external speaker). obviously, a complete powercord would be great, but if someone could even send me a picture of the plug, i could maybe go to radio shack or something and get one and make my own...

If you go to Icom manuals they have a page where you can download most owners manuals. Unfortunately they only have the M80 and the M127 available but the info on the plug wiring is the same across all these models. That power plug ought to be available through their parts dept as it was used on several models (M80, M100, M120, M125). At any rate, looking at the back of the radio at the 6 pin receptacle, 12v+ is upper left, 12v- is lower left, middle two pins are the mike hanger that (if utilized) returns the radio to channel 16 when you hang it up. the right two pins are for an external speaker. In a pinch you could find a 2 pin molex type connector that would plug onto the power pins only. You also probably have a short pigtail cord coming out above the power plug. That's for intercom & hailer hook-ups. The Icom M127 manual shows all of that too. Good luck.
