Default Furuno Transducer Will it work with Chirp

Does the Furuno 525STID-PWD Plastic 600W Transom Mount 10 Pin Transducer work with the Chirp System?

Thanks

That is the p66. Very good inexpensive transducer. It is NOT CHIRP but it will work very well with a Furuno unit as a 50/200kHz transducer. It will work with their Rezboost, bottom discrimination, and accufish features. On the bay I used 50kHz a lot for the wide cone.

I ran that transducer with my Furuno units for a number of years before "upgrading" to a CHIRP TM165HW. Truth be told, I marked just as many fish with that transducer as I do the CHIRP transducer. The advantage of the P66 is that you get a wide cone with the low frequency and a narrow cone with the high frequency. Even though I have CHIRP I dont see it as a game changer. Yes you get better target discrimination with the CHIRP but you will mark the same fish with the fixed frequency. I say roll with it!

Thanks

It (P66) will work with the GP1971 you were asking about in other posts...a very well respected transducer.
