Default Simrad NSS compatible with a traditional B260 ducer

I have a stand alone Furuno 588 fishfinder with a traditional B260 transducer (41-495-1-01). I would like to upgrade to a Simrad NSS unit for the side scan ability but I would like to know if the B260 transducer would be compatible with this unit. I know that a new chirp transducer is the way to go but at $1800 new I would love to keep what I have. Any advise would be appreciated.

You can use that B260 with a NSS unit.
You just need change the plug...
7pin BL for a NSS EVO 2.... and a 9N for a NSS EVO3.

You might have an Airmar mix and match unit..if so, then easy to change the cable.
