Default Raymarine Element a good choice?

Hello All, new to the forum and I had a question about electronics. I recently got a closed bow 16' tide runner. My family and I will be using it for trolling salmon and crabbing/ shrimping in the Puget Sound hood canal areas. I have been looking at the Raymarine Element 7. So my question is there a better option in the same price range as the element? I don't care if it has touch screen or has the ability to network, and like i said we will be using it for trolling and crabbing and occasionally in local lakes.
Thank Ya'll for the advise in advance!

Raymarine has really upped its game lately. Element is getting great reviews.

Thanks for the replys so far! Well now I contemplating the Lowrance Elite-9 ti total scan, bass pro has them on sale for $599, or should i just stick with the Element. I do realize people have brand loyalties and such but as a newb i'm kind of open to whatever i just want a solid unit that will last and there are a lot of options out there. Any input is greatly appreciated!
