Default Can you use Raymarine/Nautamatic TR1 autopilot without Raymarine E120?

Looking at purchasing a boat with the following electronics:

Raymarine 3í open array radar
raymarine E120
Raymarine/Nautamatic TR1 Autopilot

Iím going to be upgrading the electronics to new Garmin in piecemeal. I want to have as much functionality as I can during the changeover.

im almost positive there is no way to connect the radar to the Garmin MFD. tell me if Iím wrong. So Iíll probably replace the plotter, radar and ducer at once.

im not familiar at all with the TR1 autopilot. Is itís operation dependent in any way on being connected to the E120? Or can I remove the E120, replace the Garmin, and change over the autopilot later?

thanks for any help.
