It appears the WM3 is bearing clearanced out and the WM4 is about to be released. Part number 000-14970-001
Below is a listing for it, but not available until 3/6/2020 which is odd, because the WM3 is becoming scarce. The hardware is identical to the infoLink units used by Furuno and Raymarine, made by SiriusXM. I wonder if the software is any different?
Also, will this be supported by discontinued units? I'm about to install some Lowrance Carbon units and need to know if I need to track down a WM-3, since my WM-2 is incompatible.

I have been counting down the days for the wm-4, I hate the sound quality of the wm-3. they claim it is fixed on the wm-4 since its now a direct connect into the fusion head unit.

I have a WM-3 and splitter unit listed for sale. It is used but works fine.
i will make you a good deal on it if you are content to use the WM-3

I just found this thread after making another one today! Since the WM-4 will connect direct to Fusion, does that mean all the meta data and channel changing will be done through Fusion or on the MFD like the WM-3? I hope they have it both ways! This WM-3 is terrible!!

I hope this still interfaces with the Sonichub. I don’t see any RCA connectors on the box, only what looks like NEMA connectors and SiriusXM antenna connector. Perhaps one of the of the NEMA looking connectors has a pigtail that outputs RCA.
edit...found a higher res pic of the box.

If you’re wanting to control XM through the Fusion head unit, just purchase a cheap XM tuner and Shakespeare SR50 antenna. Have XM move the audio signal over to the new tuner and keep weather on the WM3. About $150 total (without installation).

From what I can tell looking at the Furuno and Raymarine versions, there is no direct connection to a head unit, besides through RCAs. This tells me the operation will likely be the same as the WM3.

We we can at least hope the WM 4 lasts longer than a WM 3! I'm sick of buying them and having to pull the cable through the TTop piping that is full! I'm only going to install it once and if it fails to hell with it!

I did this too. When I was setting mine up, there was a question of whether going through the wm-3 etc would allow use of the latest SiriusXM features such as album art, notifications, pausing and rewinding, and notification when a favorite song comes on. Those features were available using the fusion Apollo 770 and a separate cheaper tuner and antenna. But, it does require you to have two SiriusXM accounts, one for weather and one for music. I can’t remember if the monthly subscription is more expensive that way.

my WM-3 was a piece of crap, and I just had to cut the cable to get it out of the tower to RMA it. I can only hope they send me the 4 as a replacement. At least they recognized their flaw of having the cable hard-wired to the unit. If they send me a new 3, I'll be selling it real cheap.

Here's some ground truth information in regards to the new Sirius/XM Weather modules. It is my theory that everyone witt he exception of Garmin is using the stock InfoLink equipment (branded with the vendors name on it) to deliver marine weather to their equiment.
Thanks to Ben Ellison on Panbo for this info.

Looks like release date from mid April to early June is what I was just told! WTF is the problem! I'm going to shop around to see what Garmin and Furuno's new electronics look like. I might have a whole lot of Simrad stuff for sale soon, this is total BS! I have spent a lot of time on the phone with Sirius trying to speak to someone to suspend the service and still haven't got there yet
