Which transducer??
#1

I Need any advice or info on what transducer or transducers to get for a Simrad Evo3. I’m looking Between the AI 3 in 1 and the 3D StructureScan. Anybody have any first hand knowledge of the pros and cons of each? I do some trolling and lock on some wrecks In saltwater. I downline for striper and do a little bass and crappie fishing the banks in freshwater. I am hardly ever in more than 100 ft of water. Any knowledge on these would be greatly appreciated.

I just did a B150 thru-hull and a transom 3D StructureScan after speaking with guys at Simrad. It will come up real nice finding new wrecks and rocks but its kind of a toy. You will need to buy the StructureScan black box as well though. I bought the combo box and transducer think it was $999 at West Marine. Cant wait for boat to be done to try it out. Maybe you will get lucky on a great Black Friday deal.

The rep I spoke with at Simrad recommended the B150M paired with the 3 in 1. i just don't see the benefit of the B150 with the 3 in 1 except for a more accurate read on plane. let me what you like or don't like about it if you don't mind once you get it on the water and get to play with it. I'm bought my new Unit just haven't decided on transducer yet. I'm doing some research right now and plan to pull the trigger on something and install right before spring.
