Default 2 Networked Echomap Ultra's share maps?

Hi all, new member here. Thanks for all the great posts and articles. I would like to know with two Echomap Ultra's (106sv or 126sv) do they both have to have the Blue Chart or LakeVü on each independently to fully use them or can the maping cartography be used on either, if it only came with one. I would rather not have to buy the maps twice if it works across two networked units. Also, if one ads the Lakeview Ultra card to one, will it be found on the other. Also, can Panoptics Livescope be fully controlled from ether unit when connected? Thanks so much!

You can’t network Echomaps.

smac, Ultra units fully support both ethernet (Marine Network) and NMEA2000 networking.

With the Ultras, they come with either just a basemap (102 and 122) or with both preloaded BlueChart g3 and LakeVu g3 (106 and 126). Over ethernet, preloaded mapping will share with a unit that just has a basemap. So, for example a 106 would share it's preloaded mapping with a 102 or 122 if they were ethernet-connected.

Yes, accessory mapping cards are also shared among ethernet-linked units. Same goes for LiveScope, it is fully shared over ethernet.

Newer Echomap Plus 7" & 9 " and Ultra 10" & 12" units can network & share sonar, waypoints and routes using the network ports.

And yes, the older non plus units are not networkable....hard to keep up on all the new features.

Thank you so much for the information. I was hoping it worked like that but I could not be sure from the sources I had checked, including the manual.
