Default Older Garmin 4210. g2 vision advice

Hey everybody. Just bought a boat with a Garmin 4210 with radar. I'm not sure if I should purchase a g2 vision card for it. I'm not interested in upgrading the unit yet but would love to have the contour lines of the fishing chart. I see others saying it's not worth it just for the fishing chart but figured others maybe had other options. I do not have autopilot so the auto guidance would not apply to me. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I have a 4212 and 4210. I bought the G2 cards for areas that I travel to. I think they were around $100 off of eBay.

It’s not a “game changer” by any means, but I think it’s worth $100.

thanks for the reply. I found a used card dated 2016 for $100. Would there be any real difference having a vision card from 2016? I would think not but not sure if I could update it to the newer maps if I'm not the original owner.

Not sure when the most recent chart update was, but that seems recent enough.

And it’s so slow switching between different chart modes that it gets aggravating. I don’t think the processor in those old machines can handle that much data. I’m not a tech guy though.

There are some really good navigation apps that are available. I use a combination of chart sources.
