Does anyone know if I can flush mount my Furuno GP 7000 F/NT WAAS antenna or does is have to be on a post?

I have a Lowrance mounted flush to the top of my console under my hardtop. Works ok.

I flush mounted a GPS antenna this spring and unfortunately water got into it and zapped it. MFG sent me a new one and this went under my instrument console which is out of the elements and under my hard top and works great. No more worries about water getting in there

Thanks guys, but I was actually asking if the GPS antenna on my furuno can be done this way. I do want to flush mount it if I can.
Thanks.

Depends on the physical requirements of the antenna. If you can figure out a way to mount it securely without a post, it doesn't matter. In other words, the post isn't required for performance.
