Default What do you use to cover unused ports?

I just purchased a Lowrance 3600. On the back of the unit is a power port and a network port. I dont plan on networking, just using it as a stand alone unit. Lowrance does not provide a protective cap to cover up the unused network port, how dumb! I need to cover that up somehow so it doesn't get wet. Any ideas? Thanks for your suggestions.

Dielectric grease, just fill it.Must caps would let salt get to the pins anyway. I fill ALL unused ports, plugs, cables, lose wires w/it. Works great on the contact pins on the faceplate of your radio too.

Once you use the dielectric grease, a party balloon (the thin kind used for balloon animals, etc) snaps right over the port and covers it up, just looks kinda dorky sitting back there, but it is cheap protection. Cutting the fingers out of a cheap rubber glove and using them would also work.

I fill the port with dielectric grease and then put a small rubber cap over it. There is plastic caps (like found on new battery terminals and then there is rubber caps found on say high pressure hoses.....I use the rubber ones....they are a very snug fit.
