Default Don't get gps speed readout

I just got two Lowrance 332C's and have one on a transducer for sonar and the other one on a gps antenna so I can run them both at full screen. I do not get a gps speed readout on the screen, but I don't know if I just don't have the gps set up right or what. I can get a speed readout somewhere on one of the gps menu pages, but I want it to also show up on the screen. How do I do that?

The instructions start on page 77 of the manual. While on the map screen, go to "Overlay Data"...then to "GPS Data" and select Ground speed...you can also arrow left to right to change the size of the numbers on the display.

This will give you speed over the ground. If you have a paddle wheel sensor installed, you can get "water speed", which takes into account the current, etc... Simply go to "Sonar Data", highlight "water speed" and it will appear as an overlay on the display.

Many thanks. Can't wait to get this resolved. It was driving me crrrrraaaaazy! I don't have a paddle wheel so will just have to be happy with ground speed I guess.
