Default r111 trandsucer

looking to get a r111hl 2kw tank mount for a new onslow bay. It will be mounted forward of the steps.. Here are the questions.. Will the high side get me a clear picture from 600 to 800 ft for groupers.. and also will it read shallowdepth while running..

For south Louisiana, if you’re going with Simrad, go with a R111LM and add a B175HW since the S5100 has 3 channels. Might as well just step up to the R599 3KW at this point.

High will have a very tight coverage area. If you’re strictly wreck fishing, high is great. The scattered oil platform and other associated structure here needs a broader coverage area.

Download the Airmar/Gemeco Install app and you can compare the coverage area of each transducer and their channels at different depths.
