Exclamation Do not buy it FUSION MS-RA770 APOLLO

Hello!
The courier only brought me FUSION MS-RA770 APOLLO, such a crappy product. I will return it back to the seller. He is not worth a cent, shameful slag.
Do not buy it.
Firmware 2.70.68 Stitched 2 times, with a full reset.

1. Music stutters with usb flash drives. Also, the tracks hang, it seems like there’s no pause, and the seconds don’t run, you have to press the pause and play again, and it goes on forever, this is hell.
2. Sometimes the music has scratches, cod, clicks like a scratched CD disk.
3. After some time, different sections of the menu are blocked, you have to restart the device.
4. Three times restarted by itself.
5. For the first time I meet the player-head unit where there are no modes: REPEAT, SHUFFLE

The video shows that the music stops until you press button pause and play. Begins problems if on a flash drive be from 1000 mp3 files.
I tried different flash drives, formatting in Fat32 and NTFS.
Very annoying to me, digital clicking and jamming like a badly scratched CD disk. This problem is also related to the number of mp3 files on the flash drive.

How about you give Fusion a call and diagnose the issue, coming on here and calling people shameful slags is 1) just strange, 2) useless. Fusion is a highly regarded company

Bro, this will not solve anything, I talked with them, the support is disgusting. They just do not hear you, as if they are sitting in a room with soft walls and smoking hemp. I had their model MS-RA205, and it had similar problems, but the 770 is 3 times more expensive and even worse at work. For many years, nothing has changed, as were the crappy and buggy products, and remained

Is the usb input the only issue with it? Have you tried Bluetooth or FM or Airplay or the rca/aux input?

All fusion have problems with usb flash drives, they do it very badly, this is a shame. Apparently very weak iron and crookedly written software.
Other inputs do not burden the processor so there should be no problems. But I use 95% mp3 usb flash drives and 2.5% radio fm, 2.5 aux.

I was wondering the same thing. My Fusion bluetooth works great...flawless. One issue I had when I first got the unit was a weird and may not have been Fusions fault.

Ok.....when I picked my boat up from the manufacturer, my Fusion connected to someone in the shop with a Samsung smartphone. When I got home....it would see my Samsung phone but the identifier would tell Fusion it was a different Samsung smartphone with different firmware. It would NEVER connect to my Samsung smart phone....even after a system flash update. Tried everything with Fusion customer service and Fusion finally had to send me a new unit.

Having said that, I don't fault the OP from coming on here and blasting away. In this day and age, social media is often a customers only recourse.

So I can assume your usb sources are formatted properly? I use a 1TB ssd and have no issues. The menu and search is quirky, but I haven’t found a marine radio that isn’t. Good luck and let us know what you find that works for you.

Fusion Apollo 770 is an excellent piece of equipment, and one of the best sounding units out there. I've had nothing but great results with it on my boat, driving 3 JL Audio amplifiers and Bluetooth controlled using an Ipad Mini. Some people don't do well with technology....sounds like the OP is in that bucket.

Bro, I am a IT specialist with 25 years of experience, offending me . It's just that the fusion has a limit on the number of files in one folder, if there are more than 300pcs of them, the device goes crazy. There were the same problems with the model 205. 6 years have passed, and they remained stuck in one place. Any smartphone on the android for $ 20-30 will work faster and more reliably. I plan to make my device 100% waterproof, as there is no quality brand on the market.

You're wrong. You have the bluetooth keyword.
There are no technologies there, unpretentious Chinese cheap iron. There is the cheapest digital-to-analog DAC a simple circuit, a bad screen with poor viewing angles, and a strong color inversion.

Funny, every IT guy I know, all have android products. Wife is in IT. I have android phone as well.
Got 2 agree with OP. Bought a fusion Apollo 770, spent almost $700., got the remote for more coin, also had it professionally installed. Unit hums when its off. Great. My Sony did more, and sounded way better. Now on another post there saying the harness isn't heavy duty enough, and you need to call fusion tech support to get 1.
Well, I called 3 days ago, also sent an email, and got an email back that they will call back shortly. Got zero. Nothing. I drank the F'n kool-aid with Fusion, got the latest and greatest, only to find out tech support don't call back, doesn't do or sound as good as Sony; and I Hate F'n Sony but they answer tech support, and sounds wayyy better with never having an issue. Never again fusion. From what i hear, They were better B4 they got bought out by Garmin. I hope navionics doesn't fall in2 this trap!!!

Having owned 4 Fusion head units, speakers and an amp, I find Fusion products are a crap shoot and i have found ther CS mediocre at best.

The only thing that remains Fusion on my boat now is the head unit.

I have been installing Fusion radios for at least a decade. Easily 2-3 per month, minimum. All sorts of different models and accessories. We have seen very few product failures. Several (maybe 5) MS-RA205s failing to boot up is the most most common problem I’ve ever seen. No problems contacting Fusion and having the equipment sent in and replaced. I haven’t dealt with them since Garmin’s purchase, so I can’t comment if things up there have changed.

We have sold and installed a few of the Apollos. While a quirky ‘operating system’ to learn, we have seen none of the issues you are describing.

If you approached Fusion with a the same attitude as your original post, I can understand if they’re reluctant to bend over backwards for you. Remember, as someone brought up in a thread with similar circumstances, you catch more flies with honey.

You are correct but that doesn't mean it's right. Fusion should help out no matter the attitude. They are not doing the guy a favor....it's their job to correct his problem and THEY should bend over backwards for the customer and have the attitude to calm him down. He spent money on their product and frankly, if his story is accurate...he has a right to be pissed.

I don't understand how someone can complain that they have had crappy products for years and then goes out and buys another from the same brand.
Maybe an IT guy but certainly no rocket scientist.
